Most people agree that the revamped Battlestar Galactica of recent years was great science fiction television. However, those that disagree have interesting reasons to do so. For example, this woman accuses the show of ending her marriage due to her husband's obsession with the program.

As a rule of thumb, if a television show causes you to ignore your wife and family, you're probably too obsessed with it. However, if the show is actually causing this sort of problem then there are possibly issues in the marriage to begin with.

Getting your Galactica on at a convention is one thing. Getting it on while at work or during everyday life is quite another. Perhaps the folks behind BSG should hire out Edward James Olmos as a marriage counselor. I'm sure this woman's ex-husband would have listened to him.

Have you ever had to deal with someone with a science fiction obsession? If so, how did you handle it and what was the result?
